OOTD: THE NEW ATHLEISURE

Athleisure, das heißt sportliche Klamotten und Looks sind bereits seit Jahren mega im Trend. Doch seit einiger Zeit wird der Trend in gewisser weise tragbarer. 

Ich persönlich war nie ein großer Fan von Sportklamotten im Alltag. À la Karl Lagerfeld vertrete ich den Standpunkt, dass Jogginghose und Co nur im Gym getragen werde sollten – allenfalls noch auf Langstreckenflügen oder wenn man krank im Bett liegt. 

Daher hat mich der Athleisuretrend auch nie besonders interessiert. Doch das ändert sich jetzt! 

Athleisure, wearing sporty clothes and looks everywhere but the gym, has been a big thing for the last few years. But it recently became much more wearable. 

I personal never was a big fan of wearing sporty clothes every day. I am with Karl Lagerfeld on this one, by only wearing sweatpants to the gym – at most on long plane journeys or when I’m sick in bed. 

So truthfully I’ve never been much into the athleisure trend. But this changes now! 

Denn die sportlichen Klamotten werden endlich mit ganz femininen und schicken Teilen kombiniert, und so vielseitig für alle Modegeschmäcker zugänglich. 

 

 

 

Wer es lieber sicher mag, sollte mit einem bis zwei sportlich-angehauchten Teil(en) anfangen und den Rest des Outfits klassisch und vor allem schick halten. Super easy geht das mit einem Hoodie/Sweatshirt unter einem Blazer, oder einfach ein Paar coole Sneaker zum Anzug. 

 

 

Sport-inspired clothes finally are styled more feminine and luxurious items and therefore the trend becomes broader. 

 

 

If you’re trying this trend out for the first time and want to take it save, start by combining one or two sporty pieces to classical outfits. For example a sweatshirt under a blazer or a pair of cool sneaker to your suit. 

 

 

 

 

 

Da ich mich auch etwas mehr an den Trend heranwagen möchte, habe ich versucht ein Outfit passend zum neuen Athleisuretrend kreiert.
Das Athleisure Teil ist dieses Kombi-Kleid von Zara. Das coole daran: es sieht aus als träge man eine oversized Sweatshirt über einem Hemdkleid oder Rock. Dadurch erhält das Kleid nicht nur das gewisse Etwas, da es eben nicht nach einem Kleid aussieht, sondern ist gleichzeitig sportlich als auch schick. 

Since I want to be more experimental and mostly step out of my comfort zone every now and then, I decided to try this new athleisure trend out for myself and style an outfit.
The key piece of this look is the athleisure piece aka this combination dress from Zara. The dress alone is a real eye-catcher since it looks like wearing a sweatshirt over a shirtdress or a skirt. 

An an grauen Tagen braucht man einfach einen extra Schuss Farbe, daher habe ich statt weiße Sneaker zu tragen, mich etwas aus dem Fenster gelehnt und diese Senf-Goldfarbenen Sneaker von Nike dazu kombiniert. 

On gray days you just need some extra pop of colour. So instead of going the safe way by pairing the dress with some plain white sneakers, I decided to wear these mustard-goldish coloured trainers by Nike. 

Damit das ganze nicht aussieht, als wäre man auf dem Weg zur nächsten Tennisstunde, habe ich etwas Grunge hineingebracht, indem ich Fischnetzstrumpfhose und Choker dazu kombiniere. 

 

 

 

 

 

In order to not end up looking like I’m on the way to my next tennis lesson, I went a little grungy with the look, by adding fishnet tights and a choker. 

 

 

 

 

 

Am wichtigsten für den neuen Athleisuretrend ist aber die Kombi zwischen sportlichen und klassischen Schnitten und Teilen. Daher kommt über das Kleid ein klassischer Trenchcoat, der trotzdem auch total im Trend liegt, da er ebenfalls etwas oversized ist. 

 

The most important part of the outfit, of course, is the counter piece to the athleisure dress, which in this case is a classic trench coat. But this trench is a trend piece of its own since it follows the oversized trench-trend.
