Ich war vor einiger Zeit spontan auf Sardinien. Weniger zum Urlauben sondern eher zum mobilen Home Office und dennoch konnte ich ein paar Orte erkunden und Dinge erleben, die ich gerne hier teilen möchte:
I went to Sardinia some time ago. Less for vacation but more for mobile home office and yet I was able to explore a few places and experience things that I would like to share here:
OLBIA
Ich war für die Woche in Olbia – einer Stadt im Nord-Osten der Insel. Nicht die größte oder bekannteste auf Sardinien aber dank dem Flughafen ideal für Kurztrips. Die Altstadt von Olbia ist super süß und dort gibt es einige kleine Boutiquen sowie tolle Restaurants und Bars.
So I stayed in Olbia wich is a city in the north-east of the island. It’s not the biggest but there’s an airport and a beautiful old town with cute shops and great restaurants and bars.
OLBIA BEACH – Spiaggia Pittulongu Costa Smeralda
Olbia selbst hat leider keinen Strand, jedoch gibt es nicht weit entfernt einige tolle Strände, die super easy mit dem Auto aber auch mit dem Bus erreichbar sind. Mein Favorit für einen After-Work Dip: Spiaggia Pittulongu an der Costa Smeralda.
Olbia has sadly no beach so one needs to take a car or the bus to reach one of the beaches nearby. Lucky there are not only many different options but also beautiful ones, such as the Spiaggia Pittulongu on the Costa Smeralda.
GOLFO di MARINELLA – Spiaggia di Marinella
Ca 20 min mit dem Auto von Olbia entfernt ist die Region Marinella. Dort gibt es nicht nur eine Vielzahl von teuren Villen und fancy Yacht Buchten, sondern auch tolle Strände. So auch der Spiaggia di Marinella.
Approx. 20 minutes drive from Olbia is the region Marinella. You instantly see that there is more money in this region with many fancy mansions, yachts and beautiful beaches. Luckily beaches are free and so I enjoyed one after-work dip at the Spiaggia di Marinella.
PORTISCO
Wenn man bereits in der Marinella Region ist, kann man noch weiter in den Norden fahren nach Portisco. Hier werden die Yachten größer und die Preise höher aber der Hafen Marina di Portisco ist nicht nur wunderschön mit den vielen tollen Booten sondern hat auch eine hammer Auswahl an leckeren Restaurants. Ja, alles ist hier etwas teurer, aber der frische Fisch aka Fang des Tages lohnt sich hier wirklich.
If you are already in the Marinella region I would highly suggest to drive further north to Portisco. This is where the real fancy boats are… The Marina is full of luxurious yachts and has a great selection of fancy restaurants. It is a splurge but with catch of the day fresh fish an absolute recommendation.
POSADA
Von Olbia aus Südlich liegt die Stadt Posada. Diese kleine Stadt hat einen hohen Aussichtsturm Castello della Fava von dem man das weite Meer bestaunen kann.
South of Olbia is Posada. A quaint small town that is famous for its old and high tower Castello della Fava from which you have an incredibly view over the landscape and ocean.
POSADA BEACH – Spiaggia di Su Tiriarzu
Von Posada ist es nur ein Katzensprung zum Spiaggia di Su Tiriarzu. Für mich der schönste Strand den ich auf Sardinien gesehen habe. Soweit das Auge reicht weißer Sandstrand, Kristall-blaues Wasser und vor allem Ruhe.
From Posada it’s not far to go to the beach Spiaggia di Su Tiriarzu. For me this was the most beautiful beach I was at on Sardinia. White sand as far as you can see next to crystal clear and perfect blue ocean. So peaceful!
LA MADDALENA
Wer etwas Zeit hat, sollte definitiv einen Tagesausflug nach La Maddalena machen. Eine Inselgruppe direkt neben Sardinien, die easy via Boot erreichbar ist. Die Fähre bringt Autos, Fahrräder, Roller aber auch Fußgänger in 25 min vom Norden Sardiniens nach La Maddalena. Dort gibt es keine öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel – daher sollte man entweder direkt mit dem Auto kommen oder sich auf La Maddalena ein Fahrrad oder Roller nehmen.
Einmal dort kann man super Beach-Hopping machen und die Insel und kleineren Schwesterinseln die alle via Brücken verbunden sind erkunden.
If you have some time for a day trip I would highly suggest to visit La Maddalena. It’s a smaller island north of Sardinia. You can reach it by boat either with a car, motorcycle, bicycle or on foot. However on La Maddalena there is no public transport so if you do not go there with a vehicle I would suggest to rent at least a bike on La Maddalena to reach everything.
Once there you can visit countless beautiful beaches so we decided to do a bit of beach hopping to truly take everything in.
La Maddalena Beach #1 – Spiaggia Testa del Polpo
Einer der bekanntesten Strände auf La Maddalena ist der Spiaggia Testa del Polpo. Der Strand ist nicht nur berühmt für das kristallklare, türkisfarbene Wasser (das gibt es nicht nur überall auf La Maddalena sondern auch auf Sardinien) sondern auch für die runden Felsen die den Strand zieren. Diese sehen nämlich aus wie Polpo – also Thunfisch. Der Strand ist wirklich wunderbar, etwas versteckt aber dafür mit seichtem, warmen Wasser und vielen kleinen Buchten die es zu erkunden gibt. Leider wurde es irgendwann doch recht voll, daher sind wir dann weiter gezogen.
One of the most famous beaches on La Maddalena is the Spiaggia Testa del Polpo. It’s famous for the clear and turquoise water (which you can find everywhere on La Maddalena but also on Sardinia) and for its rocks that look like Polpo aka Squids. The beach is beautiful with shallow and warm water and many little coves to discover. However it got quite crowded so after 2 hours we left to find other spots.
La Maddalena Beach #2 – Cala Garibaldi
Der nächste Strand auf La Maddalena war Cala Garibaldi. Leider an dem Tag dort sehr windig aber ansonsten sehr schön und viel leerer. Fun Fact: von dort kann man Korsika sehen. 🙂
The next beach we visited was Cala Garibaldi. It was very windy there but otherwise beautiful. Fun Fact: the land you see in the distance there is Corsica.
La Maddalena Beach #3 – Punta Rossa
Der letzte Strand den wir auf La Maddalena besucht haben war Punta Rossa auf der Nebeninsel Caprera. Dieser Strand war mein Favorit, da dort weniger los war und man die schönen Boote die in der Bucht lagen bestaunen konnte.
The last beach we visited on La Maddalena was Punta Rossa. Actually this beach is on Caprera – which is a small island connected to La Maddalena. This beach was my favourite. It was far less crowded than the first one but the water and view was just as beautiful.
