In diesem Beitrag werde ich über meine Lieblingsstädte auf Ibiza sowie über einige tolle Dinge, die man auf der Insel machen kann berichten.
In this post I will cover my favourite cities on Ibiza as well as some great things to do around the island.
EIVISSA
Die Hauptstadt der Insel – Ibiza Stadt oder wie sie in der Landessprache heißt Eivissa, ist die größte Stadt der Insel. Neben vielen Clubs und Bars gibt es dort viele Touristen Shops, aber auch klassische Shops wie Zara, Bershka und Oysho. Zudem gibt es eine wunderschöne Burg die man definitiv besichtigen sollte, wenn nicht nur für die schöne Aussicht.
The capital of the island – Ibiza city or as it is called in the national language Eivissa, is the largest city of the island. Besides many clubs and bars there are many tourist shops, but also classic shops like Zara, Bershka and Oysho. There is also a beautiful castle which you should definitely visit, if not just for the beautiful view.

St. Antonio
Wie ich bereits in meinem vorherigen Beitrag erwähnt habe, ist St. Antonio als eine der Partystädte auf der Insel bekannt. Es liegt auf der Westseite der Insel und verfügt über einen großartigen Hafen sowie einige legendäre Bars wie das Café del Mar oder das Café Mambo. Es gibt auch einige große Clubs mit wechselnden Veranstaltungen, aber ich war in keinem dieser Clubs…..
Eine tolle Sache in St. Antonio ist ein Spaziergang entlang des Sunset Strip – ein schöner Strandspaziergang am Hafen entlang zum Café del Mar oder sogar weiter. Außerdem gibt es den Mirador Paseo del Mar – eine Passage, die ins Meer hinausführt, was ein weiterer großartiger Fotopunkt und Aussichtspunkt über den Hafen und den Ozean ist.
Wir waren im Café del Mar auf einen Drink. Vor allem, um eben einmal da zu sein….. Da es extrem teuer ist, würde ich es nicht wirklich empfehlen, aber der Blick von der Terrasse über das Meer ist wirklich großartig.
Daneben waren wir im Palapa. Ein mexikanisches Straßenrestaurant mit wirklich authentischem Essen und tollen Cocktails. Auch Palapa ist nicht das billigste Restaurant, aber ich würde es dennoch sehr empfehlen. Außerdem hat es wieder einen tollen Blick auf den schönen Hafen von St. Antonio.
Zuletzt noch eine praktische Info: Da St. Antonio eine der größeren Städte Ibizas ist, starten von dort aus viele Ausflugsoptionen, wie Boote nach Formentera.
As I already mentioned in my previous post, St. Antonio is known as one of THE party towns on the island. It’s located on the western side of the island and has a great harbour as well as some iconic bars like the Café del Mar or the Café Mambo. There are also some big clubs with changing events, however I didn’t go to any of those…
One great thing to do in St. Antonio is to walk along the Sunset Strip, which is a nice beach walk alongside the harbour towards Café del Mar or even further. Also there is the Mirador Paseo del Mar – a passage that goes out into the ocean which is another great photo spot and viewpoint over the harbour and ocean.
We did go to have a drink at Café del Mar. Mainly to just be there once… As it’s extremely expensive I wouldn’t really recommend it, however the view from the terrace over the ocean is really great.
Another place we went to was Palapa. Which is a Mexican street style restaurant with really authentic food and great cocktails. Again, this place wasn’t the cheapest however I would highly recommend it. Plus it again has a great view over the beautiful harbour of St. Antonio.
Another thing to know: as St. Antonio is one of the bigger towns in Ibiza, it is a main place to go on a trip form, like a boat tour to Formentera.
Santa Gertrudis de Fruitera
Die nächste Stadt, die ich erwähnen möchte, ist Santa Gertrudis de Fruitera, auch bekannt als Santa Gertrudis. Dies ist eine traditionelle ibizenkische Kleinstadt mit einer Kirche, einem Marktplatz und einigen süßen Geschäften und Restaurants. Santa Gertrudis wird jedoch immer beliebter mit ausgefallenen Restaurants, die überall auftauchen. Sie liegt in der Mitte der Insel und ist daher nicht wirklich in der Nähe einer anderen Stadt oder des Meeres, aber sie hat etwas Großartiges: die Bar Costa, die buchstäblich die besten Sandwiches und Tapas macht. Wenn ihr also nach Santa Gertrudis fahrt, kommt unbedingt während der Mittagspause, damit ihr einen frischen Jamón Iberico, etwas Queso Manchego und Pan con Tomate genießen könnt.
The next town I want to mention is Santa Gertrudis de Fruitera, also known as Santa Gertrudis. This is a traditional Ibizan small town with a church, market space and some cute shops and restaurants. However Santa Gertrudis is becoming more and more popular with fancy restaurants popping up everywhere. Is located in the middle of the island and thus isn’t really near any other town or the ocean but it does have on great thing: the Bar Costa which makes literally the best sandwiches and tapas. So if you go to Santa Gertrudis make sure to come during lunch time so you can enjoy a fresh Jamón Iberico, some Queso Manchego and Pan con Tomate.
Santa Agnès de Corona
Santa Agnès ist eine kleine Stadt die sich seit Jahrzehnten nicht verändert hat und den traditionellen Aufbau der Kleinstädte auf Ibiza hat: Eine Kirche, ein Restaurant und eine Bar, die gleichzeitig auch eine Post ist sowie einen kleinen Supermarkt. Es gibt nicht viel anzusehen, aber dennoch ist es ein nettes Ausflugsziel.
Santa Agnès is a small town that has not changed for decades and has the traditional structure of small towns in Ibiza: A church, a restaurant and a bar, which is also a post office and a small supermarket. There is not much to see, but it is still a nice destination.
Sant Joan de Labritja
Sant Joan de Labritja ist eine kleine Stadt im Norden der Insel. Sie ist wie auch Santa Gertrudis eine traditionelle ibizenkische Stadt. Doch etwas besonderes hat diese Kleinstadt: den Markt am Sonntag. Die Stadt ist für seinen Markt am Sonntag Vormittag bekannt, an dem man sowohl frisches Obst und Gemüse, andere Kostbarkeiten und Hippie Schätze kaufen kann.
Sant Joan de Labritja is a small town in the north of the island. Like Santa Gertrudis, it is a traditional Ibizan town. But this small town has something special: the market on Sunday. The town is known for its Sunday morning market, where you can buy fresh fruit and vegetables, other delicacies and hippie treasures.
Portinatx
Portinatx ist ein großer Ferienort im Norden von Ibiza. Ursprünglich befand sich an der Bucht Cala Portinatx ein kleines Fischerdorf. Die Bucht diente zudem als Hafen, über den Güter zum spanischen Festland verbracht wurden. Neben schönen Stränden gibt es dort auch einen kleinen Turm genannt Torre de Portinatx, der eine der nördlichsten Orte Ibizas ist.
Portinatx is a large holiday resort in the north of Ibiza. Originally there was a small fishing village at the bay Cala Portinatx. The bay also served as a port, through which goods were transported to the Spanish mainland. Beside beautiful beaches there is also a small tower called Torre de Portinatx, which is one of the most northern places of Ibiza.
HIPPIE MARKETS
Eine der wichtigsten Aktivitäten auf Ibiza ist der Besuch der Hippie Markets. Es gibt verschiedene Märkte auf der ganzen Insel, die jeweils an einem anderen Tag der Woche stattfinden, so dass man im Grunde genommen die Verkäufer nicht verpassen kann, aber einige Hippie-Märkte sind kleiner.
One main thing to do on Ibiza is go to the Hippie Markets. There are various markets all around the island each happening on another day of the week so basically you can’t miss the vendors, however some hippie markets are smaller.
Las Dalias
Las Dalias ist wohl der bekannteste Hippie-Markt der Insel und auch einer der größten. Er ist jeden Samstag geöffnet. In den Sommermonaten gibt es auch einen Nachtmarkt in den Wochennächten.

Punta Arabí
Punta Arabí ist der älteste und größte Hippiemarkt der Insel und benötigt daher viel Zeit und Nerven sowie Wasser, um hydratisiert zu bleiben, besonders wenn man im Sommer unterwegs ist. Es ist jeden Mittwoch geöffnet, jedoch nur von April bis Oktober.
Punta Arabí is the oldest and biggest hippie market on the island and thus requires a lot of time and nerves as well as water to stay hydrated especially if you go during the summer time. It’s open every Wednesday however only during April til October.
