Ich liebe Musik und mag am liebsten zu jederzeit von meinem persönlichen Soundtrack begleitet werden. Egal in welcher Stimmung man ist, es gibt immer einen Song oder eine Playlist, die die Gefühle perfekt unterstreichen oder auch die Stimmung komplett ändern können.
Am liebsten höre ich Musik wenn ich mich fertig mache für den Tag oder ein Event, oder beim Kochen. Und auch wenn ich auf Reisen bin, darf die musikalische Untermalung nicht fehlen. Doch oftmals kommt diese dann statt mit satten Bass aus guten Lautsprechern nur scheppernd aus den Lautsprechern des Handys.
Dank JAMS gehört dies nun der Vergangenheit an! Denn das neue JAMS Hotel in München hat ein klares Motto: MUSIC.
Ich durfte auf das Opening des Hotels, das direkt neben dem Gasteig liegt und mir das Konzept und die Zimmer etwas genauer ansehen. Somit: stay tuned.
I love music and like to be accompanied by my personal soundtrack at all times. No matter what mood you’re in, there’s always a song or playlist that can perfectly underline your feelings or change the mood completely.
I prefer to listen to music when I get ready for the day or an event, or when I’m cooking. And even when I’m travelling, I can’t do without the background music. However, often it comes out of the loudspeakers of the smart phone instead out of some speakers with a full bass.
Thanks to JAMS this is now a thing of the past! Because the new JAMS Hotel in Munich has one clear motto: MUSIC.
I was invited to the opening of the hotel, which is right next to the Gasteig, and take a closer look at the concept and the rooms. So: stay tuned.
Das Thema Musik, genauer gesagt Schallplatten, zieht sich durch das komplette Hotel: Ein riesen Plattenspieler als Sofa steht in der Lobby, neben einem richtigen Plattenspieler. Die Lampen in den Fluren sind Schallplatten und jedes Stockwerk ist nach einem bekannten Künstler benannt.
Dazu das Highlight: auf jedem Zimmer steht ein eigener Plattenspieler. Ob mit selbst mitgebrachten Platten oder einer Platte aus der riesigen Auswahl an der Rezeption: auf den Zimmern von JAMS kreiert man definitiv den richtigen Soundtrack zu seinem Aufenthalt.
The topic of music, or more precisely records, runs through the entire hotel: a giant record player as a sofa stands in the lobby, next to a real record player. The lamps in the corridors are records and each floor is named after a well-known artist.
The highlight: each room has its own record player. Whether you bring your own records or choose a record from the huge selection at the reception: in the rooms of JAMS you’ll definitely create the right soundtrack for your stay.
Der fünfte Stock ist Jim Morrison gewidmet.
Der Name ist hier nunmal Programm. Doch das JAMS heißt ja nicht nur MUSIC HOTEL sondern MUSIC & DESIGN HOTEL. Die Zimmer sind in eleganten Tönen wie Waldgrün in den Badezimmern und Lachsrosa in den Schlafzimmern gehalten. Dazu gesellen sich Materialien wie Samt und Dekoakzente in Gold und getöntem Glas. Jedes Zimmer besitzt neben dem Plattenspieler auch eine bezogene Fensterbank die gerade so dazu einlädt, den ganzen Tag dort zu verweilen, zu lesen und die Stadt zu beobachten. Außerdem befindet sich in jedem Zimmer eine Minibar die ebenso stylisch wie kostenlos ist.
Der Style der Zimmer wird in der Lobby und Bar weitergeführt. Auch hier begrüßen einen warme, erdige Töne. Dieses Mal allerdings mehr Gold, Rost und Petrol. Dazu wieder goldene Lampen und Samtsofas und Kissen.
The name is the program here. But the JAMS is not only called MUSIC HOTEL but MUSIC & DESIGN HOTEL. The rooms are decorated in elegant tones such as forest green in the bathrooms and salmon pink in the bedrooms. Materials such as velvet and decorative accents in gold and tinted glass are added. In addition to the record player, each room also has a cosy windowsill which invites you to spend the whole day there, reading and observing the city. There is also a minibar in every room which is as stylish as it is free.
The style of the rooms is continued in the lobby and bar. Warm, earthy tones welcome you here as well. This time, however, more gold, rust and petrol is added. Again golden lamps and velvet sofas and cushions.
Das Opening Event wurde natürlich musikalisch begleitet. Neben Live-DJ der natürlich mit Schallplatten aufgelegt hat, waren auch italienische Straßenkünstler da, die wort wörtlich gejammt haben und bis in die Nacht eine Riesen Jam-Session abgehalten haben.
The opening event was of course accompanied by music. Besides live DJs who of course played records, there were also Italian street artists who literally jammed together and held a giant jam session until late at night.
Als Münchner kennt man zwar einige Hotels, hat aber mit hoher Wahrscheinlichkeit noch in keinem Hotel in München genächtigt. Das JAMS bietet sich hier definitiv an für eine Nacht als Tourist in der eigenen Stadt – eine Staycation sozusagen. Leckere Drinks und tolles Essen auf der Terrasse genießen und danach einen Night Cap bei bestem Sound auf den Zimmern… Aber auch für Besucher von München ist JAMS definitiv empfehlenswert. Zentral am Rosenheimerplatz kommt man von dort überall schnell hin und Musikbegeisterte kommen nicht nur im Hotel sondern im Gasteig direkt gegenüber oder der Muffathalle nur die Straße runter definitiv auf ihren Geschmack.
As a resident of Munich, one knows some hotels, but has in all probability not yet stayed in a hotel in Munich. JAMS is definitely a good place to spend a night as a tourist in your own city – a staycation, so to speak. Enjoy tasty drinks and great food on the terrace and afterwards a night cap with the best sound in the rooms… But also for visitors of Munich JAMS is definitely recommendable. Centrally located at Rosenheimerplatz you can quickly get to everywhere from there and music enthusiasts will definitely get their taste not only in the hotel but in the Gasteig directly opposite to the hotel or the Muffathalle which is just down the street.

Cool! Ich kenne das Hotel aber neu renoviert kenne ich gar nicht.
In Ostberlin am Fluss gibt es auch ein Musikhotel, da konnte man elektronische Guitar mit Lautsprecher ausleihen!
