Jeden Abend reinigt man sein Gesicht, macht das Makeup weg und wäscht alles nochmal gründlich. Was viele allerdings nicht (oft genug) machen, ist die Bürsten die wir zum Auftragen des Makeups benutzen auch zu reinigen.
Daher dachte ich mir, zeig ich euch heute mal, wie ich meine Makeup Pinsel wasche.
Klar, ich reinige meine Bürstchen höchstwahrscheinlich auch zu selten, aber es ist generell wichtig dies ab und an zu machen. Jeden Tag berühren sie unser Gesicht und kommen so auch mit Pickeln und den sich darauf befindenden Bakterien in Berührung. Daher ist gelegentliches Reinigen definitiv von Vorteil. Und mit frisch gesäubertem Pinsel lässt sich das Makeup auch viel besser auftragen.
You clean your face night after night, but something you’re probably not doing (enough) is to clean the tools you use to apply your makeup with.
So for today’s beauty post, I thought I’d share with you my simple and quick makeup brush cleaning.
Granted, I probably am not cleaning my makeup brushes enough either but it is very important to at least do so every now and then. Since they touch your skin each day, they also have contact with bacteria and things like that. So to clean all of that excess product off of them is crucial. Cleaning them also helps with having a nicer appliance of your products, for they are not sticky and full with old stuff anymore.
Es gibt die verschiedensten Säuberungsmethoden und Produkte im Internet zu finden. Ich mag es gerne simpel und schnell und vor allem ohne extra Geld auszugeben. Daher benutze ich einfach das, was ich bereits daheim habe: Olivenöl und Baby Shampoo.
Natürlich kann man statt Olivenöl auch Gesichtsöl verwenden – das was man auch zum Abschminken nutzt – oder statt Babyshampoo einfach gleich das eigene Abschminkwasser – immerhin entfernt es das Makeup vom Gesicht, warum also nicht auch von den Pinseln?
There are tons of different brush cleaning tutorials and products s out there. But I like to keep it simple and only use things I already have in my home. So I simply take some olive oil and baby shampoo.
You can also use face oil – if you have some that you use to remove your makeup with – or no oil if you prefer an even quicker cleaning session. Of course, liquid makeup remover works too – after all if it removes the makeup from your face why not also from your brushes?
Ich habe mir folgende Technik angeeignet:
- Man nehme eine kleine Schüssel und fülle sie mit etwas Olivenöl. Dann einfach die Pinsel eintauchen und etwas herumschwenken. Es sollte sich bereits etwas Makeup ablösen. Das Öl hilft nicht nur Makeup zu entfernen sondern auch dass die Pinselhaare weich bleiben.
Anyway, here’s how I clean my makeup brushes:
- Take a small bowl and fill it with a little olive oil. Then dip all your dirty brushes into the oil, swirl them around and make sure they soak in some oil. You should see some makeup coming off already. The oil helps to remove makeup as well as keeping your brush hair soft.
- Nun die öligen Pinsel unter laufendem Wasser auswaschen, indem man die Haare leicht nach vorne drückt. Darauf achten, dass die Bürste leicht nach unten zeigt, damit kein Wasser in den Griff fließt.
- Wash it out under running water by lightly squeezing the hair – make sure to tilt the brush downwards so no water will flow into the handle.
- Als nächstes eine kleine Portion Babyshampoo – jedes andere Shampoo geht auch, es sollte aber etwas sein, dass sehr natürlich ist und keine aggressiven Produkte enthält – in die Handfläche geben. Den Pinsel in Kreisbewegungen mit Babyshampoo vermischen. Auch hier sollte wieder Makeup herauskommen.
- Now take a small portion of baby shampoo (or any shampoo/shower gel that doesn’t contain too many unnatural products) into the palm of your hand and swirl the brush in the shampoo. Again you should see makeup coming off.
- Dann wieder unter Wasser auswaschen.
- Rinse it out under water
- Nummer 3 und 4 so lange wiederholen, bis kein Makeup mehr aus dem Pinsel kommt und das Öl sich abgelöst hat.
- Mindestens 3 Mal waschen, damit auch wirklich alles Produkt herauskommt.
- Zum Trocknen die Bürsten auf ein Stück Küchenrolle legen und über Nacht liegen lassen. Am besten einmal umdrehen, damit sie schneller trocknen.
- Wenn die Pinsel am nächsten Tag immer noch recht ölig sind, einfach nochmals mit Babyshampoo waschen.
- Repeat number 3 and 4 as long as you need to to get all of the makeup out of the brush.
- Make sure to do it at least 3 times in order to also remove the oil!
- Put them on a paper towel and let them dry overnight – make sure to flip them over once so they dry quicker from both sides.
- If you realize that your brushes are still too oily the next day, just give them another quick wash with the baby shampoo.
