Wenn man sieben Monate in einer anderen Stadt, in einem anderen Land lebt, dann kann man wohl sagen, dass man sich in besagter Stadt auskennt. Und man wagt zu behaupten, dass man Geheimtipps hat, welche nicht in Reiseführern zu finden sind.
Ich werde hier also eine kleine Liste an „Geheimtipps“ für Paris anbieten – oder einfach nur meine Lieblingsorte in Paris vorstellen.
After living in a different city, in a foreign country, for seven months, you can easily say to know that city well. And you can even dare to claim to know secret spots and places you won’t be able to find in any city guide.
So here I’m going to try my best to create a little list of “secret“ places in Paris – or just simply my favorite spots in Paris.

An Museen mangelt es in Paris gewiss nicht! Ob klassisch oder modern – ob groß oder klein – in Paris gibt es wirklich aller Art Museen. Die meisten sind bekannt und dementsprechend von Touristen überlaufen. Ich selber mag lieber in Ruhe Ausstellungen zu besuchen. Ein Ort an welchem das gut geht, ist das Fotografie Museum im Marais. Abgesehen von der super Lage, ist es auch wegen des Themas eines meiner absoluten Lieblinge in Paris. Wer gerne Fotografie und Dokumentation mag, ist hier genau richtig.
Mein persönliches Highlight ist eine interaktive Modeausstellung!
Of course, Paris is not short of museums! Whether you like usual, modern, big or small museums – in Paris you can find all sorts of museums. Most of them are well known and therefore full of tourists. Personally, I prefer visiting small and quiet exhibitions. One museum that is perfect for this is the photography museum in the Marais. Apart from the great location, it has a perfect mix between classical photography and modern documentation. If you’re like me and like photography, this is the perfect place for you!
My personal highlight is an interactive fashion exhibition!
- Edel: Palais Galliera

Eines der eher kleineren Museen von Paris ist das Palais Galliera – oder auch Musée de la Mode genannt. Wie der Name schon sagt, beherbergt es Modeausstellungen aller Art. Wie beispielsweise die beeindruckenden Kleider der Comtesse Greffulhe. Neben einzigartigen Ausstellungen gibt es im Palais Galliera noch einen wunderbaren Park, in dem sich nach einem Besuch der Blick auf den Eiffelturm genießen lässt.
One of the smaller museums in Paris is the Palais Galliera – also known as the Musée de la Mode / museum of fashion. As the name indicates, the Palais Galliera is home of fashion exhibitions of all kind. For instance an exhibition of robes of countess Greffulhe.
Aside from these wonderful exhibitions, the museum has a great garden, from where you can spot the Eiffel Tower.

In Paris gibt es so einiges an klassischer Kunst. Und während man im Louvre und Co. zwar große Klassiker sehen kann, hat man doch ab und zu auch Lust auf etwas Modernes. Dazu empfehle ich das Palais de Tokyo!
Dieses Museum der modernen Kunst ist eine große Halle, in welcher man zwischen Malerei, Collagen, Videoinstallationen und Avantgarde-Inszenierungen, alles Erdenkliche an zeitgenössischer Kunst entdecken kann. Daneben finden im Palais de Tokyo auch Modenschauen statt.
There are many museums showing classical art in Paris. But while great d’oeuvre d’art can be found in Louvre and co., every now and then I like to experience modern art. For those occasions, I highly recommend the Palais de Tokyo!
This museum of contemporary art is one big hall, where you will find paintings, collages, video installations and avant-garde mise-en-scène.
The Palais de Tokyo is also home for fashion shows during fashion week.
